A crisis communication simulation can help you assess crisis plan/ systems, develop muscle memory, and assess:
- What works when the current plan and systems are put into action?
- Does the plan reflect compliance or regulatory requirements?
- Are the names, roles, and contact details in the plan current?
- Are teams outside of Communication, such as Legal, familiar with the plan and the processes, especially if they play a role in it?
- Are you confident in executing the plan? Have you built the necessary “muscle memory” through practice or drills?
Our crisis simulations include:
- Customized materials for the simulation, including an overview of the issue (what happened, when, where, initial facts, scope, etc.), and a script for the exercise, including traditional and social media injects, regulator calls, new situation information, etc., that will challenge participants during the exercise
- A customized exercise platform, including interactive traditional and social media channels tailored to the relevant traditional and social media ecosystem, as well as tailored social media profiles (e.g., media, politicians, regulators, customers, community groups, etc.) to help bring the scenario to life.
- Immersive, realistic and real-time traditional and social media feeds within the secure training environment to help bring the exercise scenario to life and provide an opportunity for participants to rehearse all aspects of their real-time response to an escalating scenario, including: fielding questions from key stakeholders; media requests for information and updates; managing the spread of mis/disinformation during a response
- Exercise facilitation to handle any participant issues/queries as needed
- Role-playing members of the media, regulators, influencers, other key stakeholders, etc., during exercise set-piece events, such as press conferences/briefings
